EYES FOR A VALENTINES.

FEBRUARY 2nd, KUALA LUMPUR – A hairstylist, 21, was admitted to the hospital earlier this week. She lost both her eyes during an accident that happened at her boyfriend’s apartment in Damansara Heights last Saturday. Fortunately, she found her eye donor yesterday. The accident happened when Sarah Edora, the victim, wanted to take something from a higher shelf that made her tip toe and hit a bottle filled with Sulfuric Acid which Khalis Hashim, her boyfriend who is also a fulltime photographer uses to develop pictures. She was not aware that the bottle was not closed properly and the contents spilled right on her face. It hit both her eyes, and some part of her face.

Sarah was then rushed to Damansara Specialist Hospital and was admitted to the ICU (Intensive Care Unit) and needed a donor for her eyes to make her able to see the world again. Sarah’s family agreed to receive eyes from dead people at first, but the suggestion was strongly disapproved by Khalis, 25, and he decided to donate his own eyes to her. Sarah’s family disagree at first, but he insisted on doing because he felt responsible over the accident that happened to Sarah. He had even signed the agreement between the hospital and him for the operation for the sake of Sarah’s recovery.

“I’d rather be the blind one rather than seeing Sarah blind. At least part of me lives in her. I have nothing to lose,” said Khalis to the press yesterday. He said Sarah is too special to be blind. When the press asks him about his career, he said he is going to start doing something else other than photography for living.

Sarah, who works as a senior hairstylist in a salon in Bangsar is still unstable and does not know that Khalis wanted to donate his eyes to her. “She would be devastated if she finds out,” says Sarah’s sister, Salina Edora. According to the family, Khalis has been a real helpful boyfriend and he felt guilty for being the cause of Sarah losing her eyes. They even planned to get married later this year and said that his eyes are his Valentine’s Day present for Sarah.

Mwuahaha. NO the story is not real. Not at all. I created it for my Writing for Mass Media class. Yeap, I think you've heard about the movie or video clip based on this story but noo. It wasn't pleaged. ;) Peace out.

Oh yeah, now that the Valentine's Day's heat is on, I wish all of you readers a Happy Valentine's Day! Have a blast day with your loved ones, care for them when they're around, because you'll be missing them when they're not there anymore. That is fo shizo! Hee.

Guess what? I'm going to donate my blood later at 2pm after this. BELIEVE IT OR NOT.

I'm scared, but I have to overcome that scared feeling. Today is my first time donating blood. ;) That is how I celebrated my Valentine's. Plus, I had some fun dancing with my classmates in the class for fun. Sumpah macam kabaret dangdut! Haha! Wish me luck!

Love you, xoxo. ;)
