Fifth/#MKHP

Farhan Shah, a 20 year old boy who can really sing the kinda song I love listening to, is one of the top 12 Singapore Idol 3 finalists and he just launched his new debut single entitled Mengapa Kau Harus Pergi (#MKHP) last Sunday (November 14th 2010). And because of that, all 7 of us (Athirah, Aina, Karrot, Syed, Aimran, Faliq and I) went to Singapore to support him.

The launching of #MKHP was held at Zac's Cafe, Jalan Pinang with the attendance of his family, friends and fans. In conjunction of his debut single, he also launched his Fan Club at the same time. A good friend of his, Faizal Isa, (also from Singapore Idol 3 and under the same label, Labels of Love) came and give his personal moral support to Farhan Shah.

The song #MKHP is very catchy and upbeat, yet it managed to touch my heart by just listening to the lyrics. Honestly, I can actually cry by just reading the lyrics, plus Farhan's voice suits the song as though the song was actually made for him. The plot of the story in the song too was well described and written with true passion. I'm not being bias, though I'm close to both Aina and Karrot. They are one hell of a writer.

Before Farhan launched his single and fan club, Faliq Fahmie performed a song, "Kaulah Segalanya - Hazrul Nizam" and I sang "Empire State of Mind Pt 2 - Alicia Keys". Faizal Isa on the other hand sang "Maafkan Ku (Oh Cinta)", also written by Aina Azizi and Karrotgold, composed by Janz Abdullah and produced by Labels of Love. Then Farhan hit the stage by singing a Malay version of "Hurt - Christina Aguilera" entitled Rintihan. Shortly after, he sang #MKHP and surprisingly I was singing to it as well.

I'd like to use this opportunity to thank Jihan Jauhar and team (from Labels of Love) for allowing Faliq and I to have our moments on stage, along with Faizal Isa and Farhan Shah himself.

To those who want to catch a gist of the song or listen to the preview, you can do so by clicking here. If you have lost someone you love, I hope this song will give the inner strength to you.

(L-R) Faizal Isa, Me, Faliq Fahmie, Farhan Shah.

#MKHP went through three countries – Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia. Song and music produced by Janz Abdullah from Labels of Love, Singapore, lyrics written by Aina Azizi and Karrotgold, from Malaysia and mixed mastered in their own studio in Jakarta, Tha Love Studio.
