Thirtieth : RIP ALDA TAN

The first time I met you was last year, for a show at Artista, Tropicana City Mall. You were the sound man and you were very helpful, since there were six of us. No matter how messy it gets, you'd still assist us with open arms and a warm smile.

When I was talking to Zara online, you'd kacau us and make fun of what we're talking about while you guys are working. I gave you my Petaling Jaya song for you guys to review and you did! It gave me a whole new perception towards music.

We then keep on bumping into each other every now and then. The last time I saw you was few weeks before you fell sick, at Village Roof studio. You were looking fine and dandy.

You invited me to perform at Nerofico, in April. You offered me a spot in Ila Damia's slot to open for Erykah Badu Live in KL show.

Few days before you fell sick, you invited me to perform at Ecoba for Jin's Mash event. On the day you fell sick, I was in the middle of texting you in regards of the event. And then you went into a complete silent.

Until now.

Though I don't know much about you, or even have the chance to be close to you, I just wanna say thank you, Alda, for seeing so much potential in me, for believing me and having tones of indisputable faith in me and music. Thank you for helping me as an unknown singer to build myself up, and created platforms for millions of other talented performers out there.

You will be missed, Alda. Rest in peace.
