You know.
I have finally (rolling my eyes up to the back of my head) joined the dark side - Fifty Shades of Grey. Hah. Honestly, I am a little disappointed with the book. Merely sex and more sex scenes. Boring. There is a tinge of regret - the fact that I bought all three books at one go. Well to be fair, I was not expecting it to be like.. that. I know it was about love infused with some wicked and screwed up romance but I was not expecting it to be like that. All the hype that the writer is getting is... Blegh. Butttt a friend told me that the second and third book will be a lot better than the first, so I'll take her word for it lah.

The problem with me is that I do not like to read the synopsis of a book before I start reading it. I rarely read the back cover anyway. I know this is shallow but I do judge a book by its cover, say watchu wanna say lol. I like to just read and read and let everything fall into place and wait for it to make sense. Basically, I want it to be a surprise.
I like surprises. Okay no. That was an understatement. I love surprises.
For example, the recent book I picked up written beautifully by Jodi Picoult - Sing You Home. I swear I did not see the whole twist of fate coming. The hiatus, the love, the challenges, and all those tumbles the character faced, they are all crazy. I love that kinda book. The ones that could make me feel like I am the third person, an external medium, the outside looking in.
Oh but then again, I only buy books that are recommended by others. I trust them. Whoops not for long though, not until they started recommending me to read Fifty Shades of Grey hekeleh apakejadahnya. The irony, I tell you.

Izzalrait. I am heading back to Jane Green for now. Jane Green will never, ever, disappoint me. ..though sometimes I wish she would just, stop, writing. Why? Go read. If you are somewhat like me, you will know why.
Hmm on a lighter (or maybe heavier, depending on how you see it) note, I came across something funny today. I just do not get how people can hate one another without knowing each other. But they hate anyway. But no. They do not know each other. It is just funny. Tell me, how much do you know about the person you hate?
Exactly.
I also do not get why people say FML so much these days. What kind of trend is this. I know they have a website dedicated just for this, yeah that FML website, where they publish super short stories on how screwed up their lives are. Like "My hair is not the way it should be today. FML." or "FML. I forgot to bring my charger." Do you really want your life to be (insert vulgar word here)ed? Do you actually know what it is really like to have your life really (insert vulgar word here)ed? Sometimes all you need to do is sit back, relax, and look around you. Whenever something bad happens, chill lah. Take it as something you can learn from. You know who is our best teacher? Our own mistakes and experiences. Learn from them, avoid recurrence.
But then again, it is up to your own personal preference. Just remember that when one say FML, it's like cursing what God has granted you with. He gave us life and all we say is FML. Really you guys are making my brain yawn from the inside out. God does not make mistakes. Nothing is a mistake. He wants us to learn and learn and learn.
Kita nak meninggal nanti pun kena belajar mengucap.
I'm not here to preach, God no. I am far from that. But then, how is someone a mistake? Nobody is a mistake, for that matter. Again, I must stress this bit out - God does not allow mistakes to happen. So when you label someone as a mistake, isn't that a bit too much? Tell me, how would you feel when someone thinks that you should not be here in this world today just because others think of you as a mistake?
Pretty harsh eh.
Calling someone a mistake is as good as insulting God's creation. I don't know. Maybe you like calling others "a mistake" so that it will make you feel better. Self comforting gitu. As though you hold a certain power, where you think you are right when you're actually at fault. Or you think that you are really right therefore you have the power to actually label others. Of course, you must not make it look like it is your fault, so you simply say "You are a mistake,".
It's not like "Tag! You're it!" honey. We all know that.
Babai!
